Event Details

The Women in Wine Celebration Dinner was created as a way for the connoisseur to experience diversity in the wine industry while also enjoying great wines and cuisine paired with these. Urban Connoisseurs, LLC started this event in Florida, and moved it to Seattle post pandemic. We're in our third year, and growing. Each year, 4 women in wine are nominated by the previous years' women in wine. The winemakers submit 3 varietals to chef Sabrina Tinsely, and we review each wine and select 1 wine from each winemaker. VIP guests have to opportunity to taste the wines not selected during the VIP reception, as well as a few wines from some of the returning women in wine.

Proceeds benefit the BLACK WINEMAKERS SCHOLARSHIP FUND, that in 2023, awarded 3 - $10K scholarships to students studying viticulture, enology, and like sciences. These awards are one step closer to helping the next generation of Black Winemakers. Your support is greatly appreciated!
