Event Summary

Back to Our Roots is a beverage and culinary experience, a celebration of community, and a reminder that what the ancestors built is rooted deep and will never be broken - only strengthened when commuinity comes together.

Back to Our Roots is a 2-Day celebration experience, and a reminder of the importance of foundation.

More Details

“A tree grows in two directions at the same time: down into the dirt and dampness and up towards the light. The only part that people see is the part that grows up, that shines, that bears fruit. No one sees what went on underground after the seed was planted: the resistance the root system encounters while growing down in the darkness, and before the tree ever saw the light.” Dr. Myron Golden IG Reel

Community is rooted in the soul. Historically, the only option was to support local restaurants and small businesses. While it may have been the only option at the time, it also gave people a sense of pride that they were doing something that directly uplifted and benefitted community. It was fellowship. It was working towards a common goal. It just felt GOOD!
