In partnership with the Hawk Foundation for Research and Education in African Culture,  let's use the healing vibrations of our ancestors to transform our lives in this multi- generational drumming class with master drummer Javeon Byrd. The Hawk Foundations Executive Director, Javoen Byrd, will be facilitating weekly drum circles at Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute. We will be using an evidence based protocol from Remo Drums and also teaching the community about the history of various drum and African cultures. Come out and connect to the rhythm of your soul, while also learning about West African music history.
